Retreat Overview

Our 2024 Summer Retreat will be held August 1-4, 2024 at The Paloma Resort located near Palm Springs, CA. The Paloma seamlessly blends Spanish influences with colorful modernism to capture the essence of the Coachella Valley, surrounded by the beauty of the Sonoran Desert. Learn the craft and business of writing and network with diverse TV and film writers, including ITC Founder Rae Benjamin and other professionals. Space is extremely limited.

The Perfect Retreat For You

This retreat will be a one-of-a-kind experience, even if you’ve attended before! We’ve added new events and workshops to make this year’s event the best one yet.

  • For the first time, we will divide attendees into two groups to provide a more personalized experience for each attendee. Each group will have a unique itenerary and workshops based on experience and skill level to provide the most helpful experience.

  • Each attendee will have the opportunity to get notes on their script from a professional writer, plus a meeting to discuss notes in person. Group B attendees can have their script selected for the mock writer’s room experience.

  • For Group B attendees only.

For the first time, we are hosting a mock writer’s room workshop to create the same environment professional TV writers experience. Rae will help guide you as you pitch ideas, discuss story, and more. You can submit your script to be selected as the mock writer’s room piece after your register.
