She'll also highlight how to use skills acquired specifically as a showrunner's assistant to advance your career. Throughout the class as Camila digs deeper into how to be a showrunner's assistant, she'll also share personal anecdotes from the three very different assistant jobs she's held that will help paint a fuller picture of what the gig entails.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Born in Columbus, OH to a pair of Puerto Ricans, Camila Quiñones is a writer, who uses genre as a vehicle to tell the stories of unapologetic women who boldly take up space wherever they go. She began her career at CAA, climbing her way out of the mailroom and into an MP Lit assistant role. Following her time at the agency, she worked as a showrunner's assistant on WESTWORLD (HBO) then assisted executive producer/writer/director Kay Oyegun (THIS IS US, NBC). Currently she assists Lauren Schmidt Hissrich (THE WITCHER, NETFLIX).

Most recently, Camila wrote, directed, and produced season two of her Star Wars narrative podcast, BEINGS OF THE GALAXY, which tells the stories of the everyday people in the Star Wars universe, now streaming on all available podcast networks.
